It's a bit intimidating to write one's first ever blog entry 😎
I guess I'll start with an introduction and my goals so any readers might know what to expect here.
My name is Jon I am 33 years old and voluntarily left my job on a year's leave of absence to travel and reevaluate what I was doing and want to be doing with my life. I'm not big on definitive plans and commitments, so the agenda for the coming year is a couple months in Southern California, a couple months crossing the US with my dog and then 6 months or more in south and east Asia.
Along the way I expect to reconnect with myself and to reawaken parts of myself that have withered over the last ten years. This blog will serve as my complete and total journal for the next year. I have another blog which I'll be keep specifically for my travels which will really just cover what I'm doing and where, rather than all the introspective journaling I expect here… If you read this, wordpress blog, you'll get everything, the travelpod blog is really just a sanitized and simplified version of anything you'll find here.
